최근 한국 미술시장은 경기침체와 함께 아트페어에 대한 관심과 구매력이 약화되는 상황에
직면해 있습니다. 저희는 이를 극복하고자 중국 상하이라는 새로운 시장에서 가능성을
모색하고자 합니다.
아트호리즌은 16년간 상하이에서 아트페어를 성황리에 이끌어온 멤버들과 함께 기획하게
되었습니다.
이번 호텔페어는 2025년 11월, ART021, West Bund Art & Design 등 대형 아트페어와 동일한 시기에 MGM Shanghai West Bund Hotel 에서 개최됩니다.
MGM호텔은 2023년 오픈 이후, 상하이 컬렉터들의 새로운 문화 거점으로 빠르게 부상하고
있으며 라스베이거스를 본사로 둔 MGM그룹의 글로벌전시 연계가능성도 기대하고 있습니다.
중국은 아시아 최대의 미술시장이며,
세계2위 약8조원 규모로 고액 자산가 수만 해도 한국 전체 인구를 웃도는 규모입니다.
호텔페어 특유의 생활 속 예술 경험은 컬렉터들에게 더 큰 매력으로 작용하며
실제 구매 전환율도 높게 나타나고 있습니다.

Greetings from ARTHORIZON, organizer of the upcoming MGM Shanghai Hotel Art Fair.
The Korean art market is currently facing a downturn, marked by economic stagnation and weakening interest and purchasing power in art fairs. In response, we aim to explore new opportunities in China, particularly in Shanghai, a vibrant and growing art market.
ARTHORIZON is proud to present this fair in collaboration with a team that has successfully led art fairs in Shanghai for over 16 years. The upcoming hotel art fair will take place in November 2025, coinciding with major events such as ART021 and West Bund Art & Design, at the MGM Shanghai West Bund Hotel.
Since its opening in 2023, the MGM Hotel has quickly become a new cultural hub for collectors in Shanghai. As part of the global MGM Group, headquartered in Las Vegas, the venue also holds strong potential for international exhibition connectivity.
China stands as the largest art market in Asia and the second largest globally, with an estimated value of approximately 8 trillion KRW. The number of high-net-worth individuals in China alone surpasses the entire population of South Korea. The unique "in-life" experience offered by hotel art fairs provides collectors with a more immersive encounter with art, contributing to higher conversion rates in actual purchases.
ARTHORIZON is working closely with local partners to ensure a high-impact presence. We are preparing a strategically planned layout, targeted VIP marketing, and a sales-focused flow, all while considering the potential for global expansion.
